Suns stay hot with victory over Houston

Phoenix secured their 6th straight victory on Monday night thanks to an 18 point fourth quarter effort from Devin Booker.

Rockets struggles continue despite shooting above 50% from the field and three in the game. They have now lost 5 straight games.

Both sides started hot in this one, Devin Booker taking early control with an impressive 11/3/2 first quarter haul, as the teams went in level after one.

Booker began the second quarter on the bench and only managed to add two points to his box score in the second. The Suns still managed to build a lead through Chris Paul & DeAndre Ayton and were up by 10 at the half. Score: Suns 70-60 Rockets.

Booker once again struggled in the third quarter but DeAndre Ayton was dominating Christian Wood down low and the Suns were taking full advantage.

Despite staying in touch through their efficient scoring, the Rockets managed to knock just one point off the half time deficit heading into the final quarter. The scoring of Ayton & Paul paving over Devin Bookers second and third quarter struggles.

The Rockets kept battling and began the fourth with a purpose, quickly eviscerating the Suns lead before DJ Wilson gave them their first lead since the first quarter with 7 minutes remaining. Then D-Book took charge.

The Suns guard dropped 12 straight points as the Suns went on a 23-11 run which ultimately secured the victory. Booker went on to score 18 of Phoenix's 32 points in the final quarter as he finished with 36 points 6 rebounds & 6 assists. Monday in Houston also saw big performances from DeAndre Ayton (27 pts 11 rebs & 2 blocks) & Chris Paul (19 pts 11 ast & 4 steals). Final Score: Suns 133-130 Rockets

The Suns now have a three game cushion on the third place Clippers in the West while the Rockets sit just 0.5 games above 15th place Minnesota.
